What are the best countries for a same—sex honeymoon?

The Latin America Travel Company composed the rating of the best honeymoon destinations for same—sex couples. The rating is based on sex criteria, each of them is evaluated by the scale from 1 to 5 — honeymoon popularity, LGBT travel friendly, marriage equality, forward thinking and romantic setting. Canada and New Zealand topped the rating, even though they did not reach the maximum 30 points, they were very close to it. Australia, Switzerland, Ireland and France were also in the top 5, regardless of that fact that Switzerland does not recognize same—sex marriages. Australia and Ireland both legalized same-sex weddings via referendums in 2017 and 2015 respectively. Same-sex weddings became legal in France and New Zealand in 2013. Asian countries were not mentioned in the rating at all, as for Africa, the only country which the travel agency recommends to consider as a gay honeymoon destination is South Africa. Argentina was  on top  of the South American part of the list. “We were thrilled to see Argentina rank in the top 20,” commented the travel agency responsible for the ranking, which specialises in travels to Latin America,“Argentina is one of the most picturesque countries in the world in terms of the number of natural assets around the country, and 81 percent of its residents reported feeling loved up,” it added.
