An opposite-sex family with two kids had no plans to celebrate the Pride as they flew from London to New York. They had no idea that Virgin Atlantic flight on June 29th was devoted to the 50th anniversary of Stonewall riots. Even though the tickets on the preliminarily announced flight were sold out within 24 hours by queer people willing to join the party, this family, which had no idea about the specific purpose of that flight, could book the tickets there. But when they appeared to be in the epicenter of the rainbow madness, even the youngest members of the family seemed super-excited about what was going on, singing along to the iconic gay anthems, Attitude Magazine reports, sharing a video from the plane board on their Twitter. Drag queens including Courtney Act and Jodie Harsh were on board along with Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt star Titus Burgess, who led the in-flight entertainment. X Factor winner Saara Alto also performed for passengers including Grammy-winning singer-songwriter MNEK and trans activist Munroe Bergdorf. And they all said that the flight was an ultimate party in the sky, people’s hearts were lit up with love and positive energy.
