Hilton offers free help for a gay couple whose wedding plans were ruined by Marriott

The Marriott representatives told a gay couple to re-book their wedding and to hold it somewhere else, not in their hotel. And even though they were later forced to issue an apology, the venue was no longer considered. YouTuber Josh Rimer and husband-to-be Heath spoke out after booking a wedding at the Marriott-owned Sheraton Buganvilias Resort and Convention Center in the gay-friendly city of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico because the hotel is not specialized on same-sex weddings, as the couple was informed by email. But there was a rivaling Hilton hotel in the neighboring property, and as the situation reached the public resonance, they offered Rimer to hold his wedding there for free. Rimer said Hilton has offered to host “the wedding of my dreams,” adding: “They are putting out the red carpet for us. When they sent us the write-up of everything that’s going to be included, everything said ‘groom and groom’. Hallelujah!”
